Konnie Viner draws from life experience to write stores that offer hope in the midst of brokenness and disappointment. She loves to encourage women by reassuring them of God’s love and faithfulness. Konnie founded a ministry for abuse victims which utilized original curriculum in support groups. She has experience as a volunteer advocate for victims of domestic abuse. As a Bible teacher she taught Precept courses, facilitated Community Bible Study groups, and led studies in local churches.
Konnie serves on the team of ReNew Retreat for New England Writing & Speaking. She is a graduate of Speak Up, She Speaks Conference, and the Ashville Christian Writers Conference. She holds a BS in Education from the University of Kansas and an MS in Business Management from the University of Redlands, CA. Konnie is a former secondary education teacher and is currently self-employed.
Konnie cherishes time with her children and grandchildren. She loves to quilt, read, write, garden, watch sunrises and sunsets, and take long walks along the river near her home to enjoy God’s creation. Occasional highlights are Great Blue Herons fishing for breakfast and deer and moose foraging in the fields. A black bear was a recent unwelcomed visitor in her backyard when he knocked down her fence while raiding bird feeders.
